This is the first time I mentioned CFUnited in this blog.. let me first say that I have attended this event for the last 2 years and it has become the One Conference for ColdFusion developers, definately worth going!
I was not planning on attending it this year, my wife and I are finishing building a single family home and it will be ready for moving in on June 30th, also we close on our current home on the 29th. So with all the packing, moving, settlements, etc.. it wasn't feasible for me to attend even though I only live 25 minutes from the conference and work only 10 minutes from it!
Alas, some good friends of mine were able to get me a pass to attend on Wednesday.. so I'll be around then and maybe in and out throughout the conference.
No that was not the news.. the bad news is Hal Helms will not be attending the conference this year (see Hal Helms unable to attend in the CFUnited blog). I have seen Hal present many times and I have enjoyed his talks/lecturers very much, you'll be missed and we look forward to seeing you next year! The good news is that they are not cancelling Hal's sessions, instead they are having some great folks present in Hal's absence. One of them, my good friend Nic Tunney. Nic and I first met during a massive project I had architected at my last job and he immediatelly impressed me with his knowledge of CF and high standards of coding. I highly suggest going to see him present on Variables and Conditions
